It’s 9 a.m. at the Irvine Spectrum. Shopkeepers are setting up for the day, and you can still get a decent spot in the huge parking lot. Payal Kindiger is inside Storymakery, her new shop located strategically close to a playground and the kid-magnet Ferris wheel. Right now it’s quiet, but later, the computers will be fired up and the printers in back will be chugging out books with titles like “Attic Lasers,” “The Great Pirate Voyage” and “Blah, Blah, Blah” from Orange County’s newest authors.

Tucked into the shops of the Irvine Spectrum is a delightful little spot called the
the Storymakery. Inside you will find a colorful space where your children can
be the creator of their own story and participate in taking that story from an idea
to a finished and printed book that they keep forever.
Both JT and Isabella love to write and create stories, so they were thrilled with
the opportunity to experience the Storymakery for themselves.

My youngest son is super creative. He loves to draw and create imaginative stories. When I found out that our local mall was opening a store where kids get to create and publish their own books, I knew we needed to try it out. Storymakery is a really fun activity for kids! During their visit to Storymakery, the kids get to develop characters, write a story and publish their very own book! The process takes about an hour and the kids walk away with a one-of-a-kind book.

I’m in Love, and you will be too, with StoryMakery! What an amazing and exciting treat it was for my ten-year-old daughter, Bella and me, to visit the Storymakery at the Irvine Spectrum Center earlier this week.
We met the Storymakery’s owner, Payal Kindiger, who graciously explained the story making and self-publishing process for kids.
Like the scrumptious delights a bakery produces, Storymakery creates one-of-a-kind, truly unique stories by young authors, like our kids.

Last Tuesday, my kids and I had a chance to visit Storymakery, a new store at the Irvine Spectrum in Irvine. Storymakery™ is the first self-publishing experience designed for young children. They help kids create characters, write stories & publish their own books!
First, you start by creating a character on one of their computers at the Character Studio, or I should say customize a character. It is so simple, even my 3 year old did it!

Have you heard about Storymakery? This is an incredible place where children use their imagination to create characters, write stories and publish their own books. I visited this week and I was blown away by the whole process!
You should know that my daughter can’t read or write and my son doesn’t like to read or write, so I was a little concerned that this was not going to be the best activity for them. Oh, was I wrong!

Nurture your child’s love of books and storytelling by visiting Storymakery! Located in the heart of the Irvine Spectrum, Storymakery is a visionary new concept and idea for writing, illustrating, and publishing your child’s very own story in his/her very own book, poster, and keepsake. While Storymakery has only recently taken the OC by storm, it has quickly become a top choice for creative children and their parents, making it a must-visit and place for those that want something interactive.
